Featured treatments
Complete eye examinations
We perform comprehensive eye examinations using advanced technology to assess the health of your eyes. These tests help to detect vision problems, such as myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism, as well as eye diseases, such as glaucoma and macular degeneration.
Cataract surgery
We specialise in any type of cataract extraction surgery, which is performed with minimal incision and on an outpatient basis. We analyse each case in detail to reduce the need to wear glasses after surgery by implanting multifocal diffractive and refractive intraocular lenses.
Refractive surgery unit
We diagnose and treat refractive errors: myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism. We apply various techniques (excimer laser, phakic lenses, astigmatic incisions or intraocular lenses), adapting each one to the patient’s needs and requirements. The aim is not only to remove dioptres, but also to ensure the best visual quality to patients. To this end, we work with the most sophisticated diagnostic and treatment resources, such as the excimer laser (MEL-80), a 6th-generation device, the most advanced on the market, with aberrometric patterns and spherical profiles (aspheric instead of spherical). We also perform presbyopia surgery with both laser and intraocular lenses.
Treatment of glaucoma
Glaucoma is a serious eye disease that does not show symptoms until it is very advanced, so early diagnosis is essential. The Glaucoma Unit is equipped with the most sensitive diagnostic methods available to diagnose the disease (OCT, RGC) and establish effective treatment. We use SLT laser for treatment of glaucoma, and numerous surgical techniques such as valve implants or trabeculectomies.
Cornea and Ocular Immunology Unit
We diagnose and treat corneal diseases. Our specialities include:
- Dry Eye Unit: for personalised treatment of this disease.
- Treatment of keratoconus with intracorneal ring segments.
- Femtosecond laser-assisted corneal transplantation.
- Application of amniotic membrane for limbal transplantation.
- Uveitis unit: with the possibility of immunosuppressive treatments in severe cases.
- Pterygium surgery to prevent recurrence.
Blepharoplasty
This is a cosmetic or functional surgery that rejuvenates the upper and lower eyelids by removing excess skin and fat, as well as correcting bags under the eyes. The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia or sedation and usually involves careful incisions in the natural creases of the skin. Patients benefit from a more rejuvenated, rested appearance in the days following surgery.
Medical Retina Unit
We work with the most sensitive methods to detect macular diseases (OCT, FFA, indocyanine) and provide a solution. There are currently several treatments for macular diseases which are applied at our center with excellent results.
Surgical Retina Unit
We carry out procedures for the treatment of retinal diseases such as detachments, vascular obstructions, haemorrhages, membranes or oedemas. We perform 25-G and 23-G vitrectomy surgeries, which allows for greater efficiency and faster visual recovery.
Oculoplastics and Tear Duct Unit
We treat all diseases of the eyelids and tear ducts, whether inflammatory, degenerative or tumoural.
