This is now the leading cause of cancer deaths. We offer an early detection programme, diagnosis and staging of the extent of the disease in order to recommend the best approach in each case.

COPD affects 9% of the Spanish population aged 40-70 years and 80% of patients are undiagnosed. Today, we have classification systems and treatments that significantly modify the natural course of the disease.

The vast majority of people with asthma are not suitably monitored and suffer significant limitations in their daily lives. Our goal is for our bronchial asthma patients to have full control and to live their lives without limitations.

The Unit that treats Tobacco Dependence, in collaboration with the Clinical Psychology Unit, diagnoses the type and level of physical and psycho-behavioural dependence, quantifies the degree of motivation and offers the best treatments. The abstinence rates obtained after one year are over 70%.

We treat tracheobronchial infections, pneumonias, tuberculosis and respiratory infections in immunocompromised patients.

We diagnose the cause and select the different types of treatment: oxygen therapy, CPAP or home mechanical ventilation.

This unit has all the techniques required for the accurate, detailed diagnosis of respiratory diseases and specific protocols for the study of pulmonary function in COPD, asthma, neuromuscular diseases, pulmonary fibrosis, etc.

Designed to diagnose patients with lung cancer, pulmonary fibrosis, pneumonia and other respiratory diseases, as well as for situations of difficult intubation and for the treatment of patients with lung cancer and other organs that affect the trachea and bronchi, resulting in severe respiratory distress. We offer laser treatment, electrocoagulation, brachytherapy and tracheo-bronchial prostheses to treat these disorders. In addition, we have an endobronchial ultrasound system, which is increasingly important in the initial approach and follow-up of patients with lung cancer and other thoracic tumours.
