Dr. Jose Luis Martín del Yerro

Head of Service, Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, at Quirónsalud Madrid University Hospital and the new Olympia Medical-Surgical Center, he has developed surgical techniques related to breast augmentation and remodelling surgery that have brought him great international prestige in this field. He has contributed to the development of the most advanced and safest breast prostheses and was the first surgeon in the world (2000) to use the Contour Profile Gel breast prostheses (the safest and most modern at this time).

TRAINING

• He studied at the FACULTY OF MEDICINE, AUTONOMOUS UNIVERSITY OF MADRID (U.A.M), during the academic years 1975-76 to 1980-81, completing his degree in Medicine and Surgery in JUNE 1981.
• During the summers of 1977, 1979, 1980 and 1981, he was an intern at the Physiology Department of the Faculty of Medicine of the U.A.M., collaborating in various research projects and acquiring essential knowledge in basic research techniques.
• Research grant from the National Institute for Student Assistance and Promotion (INAPE) during the summer of 1977, resulting in the completion of Paper No. 1 in the section ‘Conference Papers’.
